WalkIn...DanceOut
'Find the spring in your step, the rhythm in your flow and the song in your heart.'
A taste of our own dancing medicine. Filmed at our Richmond Dance Al Fresco
Are you longing for genuine connection, meaningful conversation, and perspectives that lift rather than weigh you down?

Is your body calling for safety, peace, relaxation, or simple, unfiltered joy?

Whether you need time for yourself or want to explore life with someone close...a partner, a family member, or a group of friends, all are welcome.

And if you’d like to be guided by two people who have always followed their intuition and walked (and danced) the paths less travelled, you’re in good company.

Carmen Rendell — global explorer and Walking Therapist.
Andrew Cuerden — former international DanceSport champion and BBC Strictly professional, now a therapeutic dance and life coach.

Welcome to our Richmond Walk-In, Dance-Out Retreats: a personal mind, body, and soul enrichment experience.

We share stories and wisdom while walking by the river, dancing, chatting, or pausing for a cuppa in one of Richmond’s cosy cafés.
This is where you step back into the dance of life... gently, naturally, and in your own rhythm and style.
What is Walk-In, Dance-Out?
It's a metaphor and a practice.

It's how most people feel after leaving our retreats.

We know from experience that mindful movement is one of the cornerstones of wellbeing. It brings awareness, presence and agency to our lives.

We begin by walking... arriving as we are, grounding into nature, listening and feeling into life. As we move, breathe and share, the body finds its rhythm and the heart begins to open. We carry that flow into the dancing and allow emotions to be released.
So that, what walked in heavy, walks out light and refreshed.
Our practice invites a simple and gently transformative journey from sole to soul, from fear to love... one step, one breath at a time.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
A little taste of the journey…

The gentle care, lived wisdom and grounded experience of two long-term therapeutic coaches guiding you at a human pace.

Unhurried walks through Richmond’s natural beauty… pausing on fallen trees, sun-warmed benches, riverside viewpoints, or even lying back on a soft leafy mound while the world hushes around you.

Dancing, not for performance, but for connection. For rediscovering and understanding the language of your body, for releasing what’s heavy, and expressing what’s true.

Nourishment along the way…at our favourite secret hideaways, complete with verandas, blankets and hot-water bottles.

Conversations that land deeply.
Moments where something shifts.
Space to breathe again.

Restful sleep that truly recharges.

And the surprises that can’t be listed, but always seem to arrive... a massage that melts tension, a truth that bubbles up and brings laughter or tears of release, a serendipitous moment of grace when we are ready to see it or whatever else your soul quietly asks for.

Richmond-upon-Thames
The Happiest Place in the UK
For many years Richmond has been voted the 'Most Happiest Place' to live in the UK.

It has quaint shops in alleyways. It's now the focal point for Ted Lasso (Insta feed if you want to be 'in-the-know'). We have Richmond Royal Park, a former royal hunting ground that expands over 8 miles squared, which is stunning in all seasons. Together we've walked nearly every path of this park.

We are also have the river Thames which brings with it an array of life of all kinds.
Richmond is a safe, friendly and well appointed town in which we are blessed to have built up a wonderful community. From our local baristas, restauranteurs, hoteliers and soulful wellbeing practitioners. All of which we would love to share with you.

Check out our friend, The Richmonder, for an insight into our town.
